Serving the Building Trades that Built America.
UnionCM is built and maintained by Automated Concepts, a software development and technology company working out of New England. We built it inside plumbers and pipefitters halls in this region, at the counter and in the office, for the men and women who built America.

One thing, built to hold.
Automated Concepts makes custom software for a living, and we built UnionCM to bridge a gap: union locals deserve good, cost-effective software that works as hard as they do. When the dues ledger is wrong, somebody's standing is wrong. When the fund's paperwork is late, the consequences leave the office. A missed detail can delay a check, interrupt a benefit, or put a member's next job at risk.
So we decided to build UnionCM from the ground up: one record, one source of truth, an audit trail behind every change, and your local's own data staying in-house. We aim to provide top notch software and support to our customers through our partnership with them and their dedication to the building trades.
UnionCM is more than just another member manager. You are buying software that gets fixed by the people who wrote it, on the phone, in the same week you called about it. Because your local runs on UnionCM and America gets built by your local.
Built with New England locals.
UnionCM was written inside plumbers and pipefitters halls in New England, at the counter and in the office, with the business managers and financial secretaries who run them. They are people we still call, and they still tell us when we get something wrong and how we can help.
We show up for more than the software.
A lot of the people in these halls served first. The building trades have been one of the most dependable places for a veteran to land: a paid apprenticeship, a skill that transfers anywhere, a pension at the end of it, and a hall that has your back while you learn. Helmets to Hardhats has been routing servicemembers into union apprenticeships since 2003, and the halls we work in are full of people who came in that way. Automated Concepts supports union veterans, and we intend to keep doing it.
The rest of it is not app development either. Locals ask us for help with things that have nothing to do with UnionCM: a spreadsheet that will not open, a login nobody can recover, a report the international wants in a format nobody in the office has seen. We help with those too, because the point is the local running well, not which contract line it falls under.
And we back what these halls back. Automated Concepts puts money and time into the community work the building trades in this region already carry, and into the veterans coming up through their apprenticeships. We would rather do that quietly than turn it into a marketing line.
Three people, and you talk to all of them.
No account managers, no support tier, no handoff to someone who has never seen your fund. The people who build UnionCM are the people who answer the phone.

Market Recovery used to eat a whole afternoon every week. Now approvals take minutes and I can see where every dollar went.
What your local gets, and what it keeps.
We don't publish customer counts or time-saved statistics. These are the commitments we can put in writing today.
One record.
Four packages, one member record
Members, dues, training, and market recovery all read and write the same record. Entered once in the office, current everywhere it belongs.
Your account.
Dues and fund money go straight to your local
Money lands in your local's own bank and merchant account. UnionCM runs the workflow and keeps the record, and is never the merchant of record.
Weeks, not quarters.
Market recovery is the fastest package to launch
We set it up around your fund's rules and aim to have your office running targeted jobs before your next round of bids.
Bring us your fund and your worst spreadsheet.
Thirty minutes with whoever runs the office. You will talk to one of the three of us, not a sales team.
